Spring Break is a great time to learn outside the classroom! Our Foreign Language Academy students are immersed in culture and connection as they visit Puerto Rico.

We are incredibly proud to share that the KCPS Mentorship Program was honored this week with an official resolution from Jackson County recognizing the powerful impact our mentors and mentees make in the lives of young people.
Every mentor. Every mentee. Every connection. YOU are the reason this program changes futures.
To everyone who pours into our students through mentorship—thank you for making a difference that lasts far beyond the classroom.

Thank you to our FLA staff and families who do so much to support our students' language immersion journeys!

Our first new KCPS construction in 30 years marches on, as we celebrated our Topping Off Ceremony for the planned new King Empowerment Center, which will include a new King Elementary, an early childhood center, and a family resource center!

From powerful student performances and thought-provoking discussions to inspiring artwork and interactive sessions, our schools have been honoring Dr. King’s legacy in meaningful ways.
As we celebrate his life and achievements, we also recognize the responsibility to keep moving forward---building on his vision to create a future of equity, justice, and opportunity for all.
Together, we’re not just remembering history—we’re shaping it.
